I'm a home hobbyist and DIY guitar tech-y guy who plays a bit and likes to tinker.  After putting together a few kits I thought I'd tackle my first scratch-build during last year's GGBO and it came out pretty good--much better than I expected.  This year I worked up a couple of designs for various guitars I'd like to have, and the one I submitted to Ben's Christmas design competition made top-10 and had fairly positive comments.  So that's the one I'm going to build.  It's a custom offset with Tele-style pickups and electronics, a custom bridge that I'm going to have to fabricate, and a bolt-on 2+4 headstock.  Current plan for the finish is a color-shift paint with a natural neck, but that could change depending on the woods I acquire.  My main challenge is finding materials and tools in the small, remote town where I live and work.
