I've been building guitars in my basement for 3 years now. I learned everything I know about guitar building through youtube (primarily through Crimson Guitars and Fletcher Guitar's channels). I like learning new things and I design every guitar I make around skills or techniques I want to learn. Because of confinement I managed to build 3 guitars and 1 bass last year and I feel like I've grown quite a bit as an amateur luthier. I like the idea of taking part in this competition, because I know nothing about video making and this will push me to learn another vastly different skill. And since I learned most of what I know about guitar making through youtube, I think it is fitting that I give something back by making content that will interest and maybe even teach people. I just needed a push and this competition definitely provided it. My build will be a semi hollow flying V type guitar with some unconventional sound holes, a two-level top, loads of binding and 3 P90s that are custom made for me by Jack over at Alchemy Pickups (really nice guy).
