I am an amateur luthier, working out of my garage in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada. This is my 3rd guitar that I've built, and my first attempt at making a neck from scratch. The guitar is going to be a tie in with the podcast that I am a part of where we review table-top role playing games (think Dungeons and Dragons) and different types of coffee. I am working with an Explorer type design and modifying it to reflect this into what I am calling "The Pathfinder." The body and neck will be maple that I am going to stain with dark roast coffee, and the back of the body will be covered in coffee beans suspended in resin. The fretboard will be Chechen (Caribbean Rosewood) with a custom d20-shaped inlay. I will also be making custom control knobs out of copper d20s.
