By day I manage a grocery store, by night I've found true happiness in building guitars.
I built my first kit guitar 3 years ago, since then I have done 3 kits, and 3 guitars with scratch bodies. I've discovered that the carving and sanding is my favourite part of the build process.
For this build, I will be creating a body blank from walnut and flamed maple, using my own design for the shape. I plan to route it as a semi-hollow, and use a top made from Siris. I'll use a pre-fab neck and Jazzmaster style electronics to give it a classic feel and sound.
This will be my first time taking video of the process so hopefully it comes out as something reasonably entertaining to watch! Super excited for the project and the competition, thanks for the opportunity and best of luck to everyone involved!
