I am a husband and father first, but when I have ANY free time, I am building guitars. Speaking about my time in the corporate world just seems boring by comparison to discussing rare timbers and unique construction techniques. I take my influences from non-traditional places like custom motorcycles, bladesmiths, sculptors, and blacksmiths. I just try to build unique instruments from the finest materials, so when the new owner picks it up, there is an immediate visceral connection. Details are what make me happy. Especially the ones that only a keen eye can discover. I build what I think is cool; I build what I think is cool out of the coolest timber I can find; and I share what I think is cool for everyone to see.
