SBH Guitars

I started my guitar building journey when my guitars fell into a sad state due to work taking priority.

The first guitar I bought myself is the guitar I started on, I had a set of Seymour Duncan Blackouts sat doing nothing but I didn’t know how to solder properly. Thankfully I found an easy solution, EMG Solderless Conversion Kit, all I needed to do was sort out the switch. After finishing this I was hooked, so I fixed up another guitar and then moved onto guitar kits.

I made two kit guitars and I added my own twist on them with unique finishes and pickups/controls. At first I had to borrow my Dads garage but now I have a shed to do the work in so it’s a lot easier. After these I wanted to do another but I found that kits are somewhat limited for what I wanted to do.

It was at this point that I started designing builds where I would make the body from a blank. For now they have all be designed with pre made necks, this is something I will eventually learn to do as well.

Throughout this process I’ve learnt a lot of new skills, used tools I’ve never used before, made mistakes and how to fix them.

I’ve wanted to enter GGBO last year however my workshop wasn’t quite ready to do my build. Now that my shed is ready and I’m pumped up to get the build started 🤘

Since I knew I wanted to enter this year’s competition I decided to create new socials and a YouTube channel that are all listed below.
