I'm a 36 year old steam engineer from northern British Columbia, Canada, where I live with my lovely wife and two kids. I became interested in guitar making and repair at the start of 2020, and completed my first instrument (a pink ukelele for my daughter) in November. I recently completed a scratch built classical guitar and was drafting up plans for the next instrument when I realized I could enter it in the GGBO 2021.

This build will be a steel-stringed acoustic parlor guitar (not enough acoustics in the GGBO 2020!) My goal with this build is to use only woods grown in western Canada. I particularly want to showcase the denim pine we have here, a result of the pine beetle that ravaged our forests many years ago.
